John McGinn posts ‘vicious’ response to Ashley Young’s Everton message
Everton star Ashley Young was the victim of a vicious barb from John McGinn after their 4-0 win over Wolves on Wednesday (December 4).
The 39-year-old scored Everton’s opener and his 50th Premier League goal with a well-placed freekick, sending Sean Dyche’s side on their way to an impressive victory.
Orel Mangala’s long-range strike and two own-goals from Craig Dawson piled further pressure on Wolves boss Gary O’Neil, leaving his side in 19th with just nine points from their opening 19 Premier League games.
Everton’s victory over Wolves provides the Merseyside club with some much-needed breathing space from the relegation zone, moving up to 15th place and sitting five points clear of Ipswich in 18th.

Young and McGinn, 30, spent two seasons together at Aston Villa before the former Man United player was released and subsequently joined Everton.
Both players have been key to their respective clubs so far this season, with Young making 14 appearances across all competitions, two of which have been starts, scoring one goal and providing three assists in 1090 minutes of action.
Aston Villa captain McGinn has made 17 appearances across all competitions, 15 of them coming from the first whistle, scoring one goal and providing two assists in 1184 total minutes of gameplay.
The Everton man rolled back the years in their win over Wolves, taking to Instagram to celebrate his Player of the Match Award, as well as what he claimed was 50 Premier League goals, prompting McGinn to send a cheeky reply.
Young’s captions says: “Great Team Performance. Nice to make it 50 @premierleague goals (not out!) and create more history. I see You up there. UTFT.”
McGinn soon replied: “Celebrating your age good to see.”
