John Terry silences Zlatan Ibrahimovic with brutal eight-word message
John Terry has publicly slammed Zlatan Ibrahimovic after the Sweden international revealed why he never signed for Chelsea.
A quote from the retired striker was recently re-circulated by 365Scores, explaining why he never ended up signing for the Blues during his career.
Ibrahimovic said, “Chelsea couldn’t sign me, I have more trophies than Chelsea. They should have been the ones signing me.”
The quote is something that Terry looked to combat as the former Blues captain tagged Didier Drogba in a comment and claimed, “He didn’t want to be on the bench.”
The former England captain insinuated that Ibrahimovic wouldn’t have been able to displace Drogba from the team, with the former Ivory Coast international often leading the line during his time at Stamford Bridge.
Drogba played 381 games throughout two spells at Chelsea, scoring 164 goals and providing 88 assists as he won the Premier League four times.

Ibrahimovic was a prolific goalscorer throughout his career, proving his ability in various top leagues around Europe and in the Champions League.
The Swedish striker made 827 appearances throughout his career at club level, scoring an incredible 496 goals and providing 202 assists.
That is in comparison to Drogba who played 688 times, scoring 302 goals and providing 127 assists.
Drogba was notorious for scoring big goals in cup finals for Chelsea, including the winning goal as the club won the Champions League for the first time.
Ibrahimovic may never have joined the Londoners, but he did end up playing in the Premier League for 18 months after he joined Man United.
During his time at Old Trafford Ibrahimovic scored 29 goals in 53 appearances across all competitions, with 17 of those coming in the Premier League.
