Johnny Kenny flops, 7-duel winner dazzles – Celtic’s three winners and losers in defeat vs Midtjylland
Celtic continue their turbulent run in the Europa League as they lost 3-1 to Midtjylland on 6 November.
Prior to the match, Martin O’Neill was edging closer to becoming the permanent Celtic boss after two wins in his first two matches.
However, things may not be as “easy” as it seems for O’Neill at Celtic following their horrific performance in Europe against Midtjylland.
Football Insider reviews the winners and losers from the Hoops’ embarrassing defeat to the Danish outfit.

Celtic winners
Kasper Schmeichel
Despite conceding three goals, the visit back to his home country saw Kasper Schmeichel do his best to concede as few goals as possible.
The former Leicester City goalkeeper made nine saves against the barrage of Midtjylland pressure.
Sebastian Tounetki
One of the shining lights of the Hoops’ season, the Tunisian was the only real source of creativity for O’Neill.
Sebastian Tounetki delivered two key passes as he endeavoured to turn the tide in a rather one-sided fixture.
Auston Trusty
On a defensively shambolic night for the Bhoys, the American stood out from a dire set of players at the back.
Auston Trusty won seven of his 14 duels, making 10 clearances and blocking three shots to try and slow the relentless Midtjylland attack.
Celtic losers
James Forrest
Hooked at half time, the number 49 had a difficult 45 minutes in the Europa League.
James Forrest gave the ball away on nine separate occasions, landing just seven of his 10 passes which highlighted his underwhelming display.

Johnny Kenny
Also taken off at the interval as part of half time tactical changes from the Northern Irishman, Johnny Kenny was chasing ghosts in the first 45 minutes.
The Irishman touched the ball 20 times but gave up possession on eight occasions as he was seen running left to right trying to win back the ball.
Benjamin Nygren
The Swede, often a dependable asset for the Hoops, was pretty nonexistent against Midtjylland.
Benjamin Nygren was quite absent from the game, landing just two of his seven duels as well as spooning a decent opportunity on the edge of the box over the bar in the first half.
