Jonathan Kodjia delivers Twitter message to Aston Villa fans after win v Sheff Wednesday
By Danny Wright
Jonathan Kodjia has labelled Aston Villa’s 2-0 win over Sheffield Wednesday as a huge confidence booster for his side.
The 27-year-old scored a goal in each half to help his side move up to 12th in the Championship table over a side that have had their play-off hopes severely dented.
Villa have been plagued with injuries and matters were made even worse on Saturday as Henri Lansbury injured himself in the warm-up, before Nathan Baker was forced off early.
Despite limited options, Steve Bruce’s side have continued their revival to win their fourth game in their last five.
“Good morale boosting win for all involved at Aston Villa,” said Kodjia on his personal Twitter account.

The Ivory Coast international is enjoying his debut season at Villa Park and has scored 13 goals in 28 appearances this season despite missing three games due to the Africa Cup of Nations in January.
After the club’s Chinese takeover in the summer, Villa weren’t afraid to splash £11million on the striker to prise him away from Bristol City after he struck 19 goals for them in all competitions last season.
Kodjia will now be hoping to help the Villans continue their impressive run of form when they travel to the DW Stadium to face a struggling Wigan next Saturday.
