Jordan Pickford sends message to Everton fans after ‘insane’ Liverpool twist
Everton goalkeeper Jordan Pickford took to social media to send a message to the fans after their dramatic late 2-2 Premier League draw with Liverpool on Wednesday (February 12).
The 30-year-old played the full 90 minutes as Everton secured a late point in the last Merseyside derby at Goodison Park before the club move to their new stadium next season.
Striker Beto opened the scoring after just 11 minutes thanks to a clever free-kick routine from the home side before Alexis Mac Allister restored parity five minutes later.
Star man Mohamed Salah put Arne Slot’s side ahead in the 73rd minute and Liverpool looked set to go nine points clear of Arsenal at the top of the Premier League table.
Liverpool failed to clear their lines after a hopeful ball from Vitalii Mykolenko, allowing James Tarkowski to smash the ball into the back of the net from close range.
A scuffle broke out between the two sets of players after Curtis Jones confronted Abdoulaye Doucoure for celebrating in front of the Liverpool fans.
Michael Oliver responded by sending the two players off before showing a red card to Slot shortly afterward.

The England international has been key for Everton so far this season, starting 26 of his games across all competitions, conceding 32 goals, and keeping ten clean sheets in his 2340 minutes of action.
The ‘keeper took to Instagram to celebrate their 2-2 draw with Liverpool, saying: “Insane end to a historic night… Goodison at its very best. Only Everton do it like this!”

Everton will travel to Crystal Palace for their next Premier League game on Saturday (February 15) as they seek to put further distance between themselves and the relegation zone.
