Jorgen Strand Larsen sends emotional goodbye message as Wolves exit confirmed
Jorgen Strand Larsen has taken to social media to bid an emotional farewell after a Wolves departure was announced.
Vitor Pereira’s side flirted with the relegation zone for a large period of the season, but ended the campaign well clear of the bottom three.
Six wins in a row across March and April secured Wolves‘ status in the Premier League for another year, and despite finishing 16th, they were 17 points clear of Leicester in 18th.
However, the Midlands-based side could be set to lose a number of their key players this summer, as the bigger clubs come calling.

Sarabia departs Wolves
It was confirmed on Wednesday (28 May), that Pablo Sarabia will leave Wolves when his contract expires this summer, after the midfielder was not offered a new deal.
Sarabia joined the Molinuex-based side back in 2023, after making the switch from PSG in the January transfer window.
In his two and a half seasons at the club, Sarabia played 66 games in the Premier League, scoring eight goals and racking up two assists.
Games | Goals | Assists |
66 | 8 | 9 |
After the news was announced, striker Strand Larsen took to social media to pay tribute to his departing teammate.
On his Instagram story (28 May), the Norwegian posted a photo of himself and Sarabia celebrating, with the caption: “@pablosarabia92 will miss you my friend.”

Wolves expect more departures
Football Insider Verdict
While Pereira’s side decided to part ways with Sarabia, there is expected to be far more detrimental departures to come.
Matheus Cunha is set to join Manchester United for £62.5million, after spending the last two and a half years in the Midlands.
The Brazilian forward found the net 15 times in an impressive season in the Premier League, as well as picking up six assists, in his 33 appearances for Wolves.
More outgoings could be on the horizon as well, with Football Insider exclusively revealing that Nelson Semedo could be off to Galatasaray.
The Wolves captain sees his contract expire this summer, and it is believed that he has rejected a new deal in favour of a free transfer to the Turkish giants.
In order for Pereira’s side to steer clear of relegation next season they will need to ensure that the departing players are replaced, otherwise they could be in real trouble.
