Jose Mourinho watches Tottenham youngsters in action

Jose Mourinho watched on from the stands as Tottenham’s youngsters suffered a 3-2 defeat at the hands of their Manchester United counterparts on Monday night at Old Trafford.

As reported by United’s official website, Josh Harrop scored a hat-trick for the home team as the Manchester club sealed all three points against their London rivals in a thrilling Premier League 2 encounter.

Full-back Jaden Brown and attacking midfielder Samuel Shashoua had fired the visitors into a 2-1 lead after 51 minutes.

But, midfielder Harrop added two more goals late into the second half to help his team finish the Premier League 2 campaign with a win.

United first-team boss, Mourinho was in the stands as the Portuguese watched England’s next generation in action.

The youngsters win against Spurs comes after Mauricio Pochettinio’s side beat United 2-1 on Sunday afternoon at White Hart Lane.

For that match, Mourinho opted to play teenager defender Axel Tuanzebe as he managed his squad ahead of the Europa League final.

Pochettino has not been shy to give youngsters the opportunity himself, with midfielder Harry Winks making his first-team debut this term.

The midfielder has since suffered a season-ending injury but he did play 33 matches in all competitions for his north London club.

That includes starting three important European games from earlier on in the campaign, two matches in the Champions League and the other in the Europa League.
