‘Josh Brownhill offer made as ex-Burnley star targets Leeds switch’
Josh Brownhill is pondering his next move after leaving Burnley this summer.
The midfielder excelled for the Clarets last term, helping Scott Parker’s men to promotion by notching a career-best return of 18 goals and six assists in 42 Championship appearances.
However, the 29-year-old did not renew his contract with the Lancashire club and is now available on a free transfer.
Burnley have endured a tough window so far, having also lost impressive goalkeeper James Trafford to Manchester City, while star defender CJ Egan-Riley joined Marseille.

Leicester City are vying to seal an immediate return to the Premier League after suffering relegation last term.
Contrastingly, Leeds United must acclimatise to the top flight, having won the Championship title.
According to FourFourTwo [31 July], Leicester have tabled a lengthy contract offer to the former Burnley midfielder.
However, the article adds that Brownhill is considering his options and is open to a Premier League move, while he admires Daniel Farke’s setup at Elland Road.
The Whites are in the market for a new attacking midfielder, but it is not clear whether the 29-year-old is a target, as per FourFourTwo.

While Leeds are yet to register their interest in Brownhill, he would be a strong acquisition for the West Yorkshire side, especially given that he is keen on a move to Elland Road.
Farke has already bolstered his midfield ranks by signing former Newcastle United star Sean Longstaff and ex-Hoffenheim man Anton Stach.
But Leeds should be eager to continue adding Premier League experience to their ranks, and Brownhill spent four seasons in the top flight with Burnley before helping them to two promotions from the Championship.

The former Bristol City man has never scored more than four goals in a Premier League season, but his attacking exploits in the second tier last term suggest he is ready to excel at the top level next campaign.
