Josh King embarrasses Fulham captain Tom Cairney on social media
Fulham midfielder Josh King posted a hilarious birthday message to his captain and teammate Tom Cairney.
The 18-year-old featured from the bench in the Whites comfortable 2-0 win over Leicester City (18 January).
Fulham opened the scoring through Emile Smith-Rowe, as the former Arsenal man found the back of the net with a diving header.
The Whites then doubled their lead as Adama Traore connected with a Harry Wilson cross in the 68th minute to put the game to bed.
Leicester had late appeals for a penalty, but it was denied correctly according to Keith Hackett.
Josh King is a star in the making for Fulham
King has been the talk of the town for Fulham fans recently.
The England U19 international made his first start for the Cottagers in a 0-0 draw with Southampton and performed excellently.
The academy graduate is a creative and tricky midfielder who operates in tight spaces extremely well, despite his diminutive size.
Cairney celebrated his 34th birthday, and King took to social media to post this hilarious photo to his Instagram story, captioned: “Happy birthday skip” with a crying laughing emoji.

This is the latest instalment in a hilarious friendship between the captain and the protégé, after a near-decade old image of the two emerged with King as a mascot to Cairney, and then the youngster sharing that he had picked Cairney over Neymar as his footballing idol.
Fans of the Whites have been pleased to see Cairney take King under his wing, and are hopeful that the midfielder will stay and develop at Craven Cottage in the long-term after academy graduates such as Patrick Roberts and Fabio Carvalho struggled after leaving.
Fulham’s next game will see them play Man United at home on 26 January.
In other news, Fulham have been linked with a Liverpool player this January.
