Josh Windass posts honest Instagram verdict as Rangers scrape past Partick
By Will Butcher
Josh Windass believes Rangers were lucky to beat Partick Thistle on Sunday as they earned a 2-1 win at Firhill Stadium.
Rangers equalised through Barrie McKay in the 83rd minute before Joe Garner earned an injury-time winner to secure the 54-time Scottish champions’ 17th league win of the season.
Posting on his personal Instagram account, Windass claimed Rangers “got away with one” against Alan Archibald’s side but credited his side for not stopping “until the last minute”.
Windass remained on the pitch for the full 90 minutes on Sunday, as Portuguese boss Pedro Caixinha earned his fourth win in the managerial hotseat.
Kris Doolan had given Partick the lead in the first half, but Scotland international McKay equalised late on with fine solo effort that saw him beat two players before finishing.

Kenny Miller then picked the ball up in injury time after a marauding run from James Tavernier, and his inch-perfect cross was nodded home by Garner to the delight of Gers’ fans.
The win sees Rangers consolidate their position in third place ahead of St. Johnstone, but with three games to go, Caixinha’s side sit nine points off second-placed Aberdeen.
