Joshua Zirkzee responds to Bournemouth sensation after record-breaking news

Man United striker Joshua Zirkzee has taken to social media to react to Dean Huijsen becoming the youngest Premier League scorer in Bournemouth history.

Huijsen, 19, scored the only goal in Bournemouth’s 1-0 Premier League win over Ange Postecoglu’s inconsistent Tottenham side on Thursday (December 5).

Andoni Iraola’s side leapfrogged Tottenham into ninth thanks to the young centre-back’s looping header, with 21 points from their opening 14 games, marking their third win against one of the traditional ‘top six’ sides.

The wonderkid is yet to establish himself as a consistent starter under Iraola, starting just four of his nine appearances across all competitions, yielding 430 minutes of action.

Man United ace Joshua Zirkzee happy for Deaj Huijsen after first Bournemouth goal

Zirkzee, 23, ended a 17-game goal drought with a brace in Manchester United’s 4-0 victory over Everton but struggled to leave his mark during a 30-minute cameo in their 2-0 defeat to Arsenal.

The Dutchman has struggled since moving to Old Trafford in the summer, starting eight of his 20 appearances across all competitions, scoring three goals and providing two assists in 842 minutes of action.

The Man United man took the time to congratulate his former Netherlands youth international, promptly liking Huijsen’s recent Instagram post.

Huijsen’s caption says: “Just a chill evening under the lights. I am very happy for this win and honored to have entered the club’s history with this goal, the first of many together.

“Thanks to all the fans for your support and to my family for always supporting me, this award is for you.”
