Joshua Zirkzee sends three-word message as Marseille complete transfer

Joshua Zirkzee has had a tough time at Man United since his move last summer.

The 24-year-old striker has struggled to find regular game time at Old Trafford after failing to find the back of the net consistently.

As a result, Zirkzee has been linked away from Man United this winter, with the attacker looking to get his career back on track.

However, while a move is yet to transpire, he has now reacted to Marseille’s recent signing of Quinten Timber.

Quinten Timber is the brother of Jurrien Timber, who currently plays for Arsenal.

While the Gunners star has been impressing in the Premier League, Timber had been a regular for Feyenoord in the Eredivisie.

Here, he regularly impressed and helped the Dutch side win numerous trophies, including the top-flight title in the 2022-23 campaign.

As a result, Timber had been tipped for a Premier League move. However, Marseille have now won the race for his signature.

On Friday, they announced the signing, alongside the addition of Ethan Nwaneri, who joined Marseille on loan from Arsenal.

Many players reacted to this news, including Netherlands international teammate Zirkzee.

The Man United striker commented, “ban pami prim,” which translates to ‘bring it on’ in English. This was then followed by two flexing bicep emojis and a red love heart emoji.

What are Man United’s plan with Zirkzee?

Rumours surrounding Zirkzee’s future have gone quiet since Ruben Amorim was sacked at Old Trafford.

This may be down to restricted activity this summer, with Football Insider revealing that Man United are unlikely to spend to improve their squad in the winter window.

Therefore, Michael Carrick may be looking to keep Zirkzee around to provide an extra option to his squad as they search for Champions League qualification.

However, it remains to be seen if the striker’s long-term future is at Old Trafford after now failing to impress under two different managers.

Hopefully, if Zirkzee is given a chance, he shines under Carrick as he looks to get his career back on track ahead of the upcoming 2026 World Cup in the USA, Mexico and Canada.
