Josuha Guilavogui sends one-word response after Patrick Bamford’s ‘forever’ message

Patrick Bamford has been front and centre as Leeds United’s promotion celebrations show no signs of slowing down.

The city of Leeds has been in a celebratory mood for well over a month after Daniel Farke‘s side sealed their return to the Premier League with a 6-0 victory over Stoke on 21 April, and the title soon followed.

Leeds’ six-game winning run to end the season culminated with Manor Solomon’s last-minute winner to clinch the Championship trophy at Plymouth, and an open-top bus parade took place two days later.

Farke and 49ers Enterprises‘ full attention is now on the summer transfer window as they aim to build a squad capable of Premier League survival next term, but those celebrations have still not subsided.

Bamford sends ‘legends’ message after Leeds performance

Bamford only played a bit-part role in Leeds’ Championship campaign as injuries limited him to just 17 league appearances, and he failed to score a single goal for the first time in his career at Elland Road.

However, Bamford has played a starring role in the Peacocks’ promotion celebrations and took them up a notch on Saturday (31 May), as Leeds band the Kaiser Chiefs brought him out on stage at a sold-out gig.

Bamford played guitar alongside the band for a performance of Elland Road anthem ‘I Predict a Riot’, and posted on Instagram on Monday (2 June) with the message of: “An evening I’ll remember forever – what a moment sharing the stage with these legends”

Several current and former Leeds players liked Bamford’s post, and the recently-released Josuha Guilavogui left a one-word message to call the striker: “Legende!!!!!”

Bamford to bow out in fitting style for Leeds

A 25,000–strong crowd cheered Bamford’s every moment as he appeared on stage in a Mark Viduka shirt alongside the Kaiser Chiefs on the outskirts of Leeds, but that could prove to be his last act.

A lack of impact this season and Leeds’ clear need for reinforcements up front has led former Whites keeper Paul Robinson to tell Football Insider that Bamford will be one of the first names out of the door this summer.

Football Insider also revealed in April that Leeds see neither Bamford nor Joel Piroe as good enough to start in the Premier League, and with roughly £120million to spend on new signings, an upgrade up front will surely arrive sooner rather than later.
