By Dominic Toner
Reliable journalist Phil Hay has dropped a huge hint on Twitter that Pontus Jansson will start for Leeds against Bristol City.
Yorkshire Evening Post correspondent Hay posted on his official Twitter account that the 26-year-old was in his “usual pre-match seat” ahead of Tuesday nights home game.
The Leeds defender missed the club’s 2-0 defeat against Cardiff on Saturday through illness and has been a huge part behind the promotion push this season.
Garry Monk revealed he was hopeful that the defender would be able to make the starting line-up against Bristol and Hay has dropped a huge hint that he will be involved.
Jansson would likely replace Liam Cooper in the starting XI and play alongside regular centre-back partner Kyle Bartley.
The Sweden international has become a fan favourite at Elland Road this season after a number of impressive defensive performances.
He has also popped up with three goals during 24 appearances and is a real threat from corner for the Whites.
Leeds now have just a four-point cushion ahead of seventh-placed Norwich and will be desperate to open up further ground to the play-off places.
They face relegation threatened Bristol City on Tuesday and they lost the reverse fixture 1-0 in September.
In other Leeds team news, the club’s supporters want Monk to recall their summer recruit against Bristol City.
