Jude Bellingham reacts to Sunderland’s Jobe Bellingham post amid exit talk

Jobe Bellingham could be leaving Sunderland this summer, but the club have still posted a nostalgic video of the midfielder.

The Black Cats gained promotion to the Premier League, beating Sheffield United 2-1 in the play-off final at Wembley.

Brighton-bound Tommy Watson broke Blades hearts with a 95th-minute winner, much to the delight of the 35,000 Mackems inside Wembley.

Belllingham was a key part of the Sunderland team over the course of the season, missing just three games throughout the whole campaign.

Sunderland post Bellingham throwback

After success in the play-offs, Bellingham immediately flew to Germany, meeting with representatives of Eintracht Frankfurt to discuss a potential move.

There are other teams interested in securing the 19-year-old as well, with Football Insider exclusively revealing that Bellingham has made a verbal agreement with Dortmund.

Sunderland are still promoting their young starlet on social media though, potentially hoping that the midfielder will decide to stay in the north east.

On their official Instagram (1 June) account, the Black Cats posted a video from a few years ago of a young Bellingham singing the Mackems anthem ‘Can’t help falling in love’.

It then transitions to the Birmingham academy graduate singing the same song in front of Sunderland fans after Wembley success.

Jobe commented with laughing emojis and a baby face emoji, with his brother Jude liking the post to show his appreciation.

Henderson to make sensational return

Football Insider Verdict

If Bellingham does leave, then the midfielder could potentially be replaced by a former Black Cats youth product, who left the club back in 2011.

Revealed exclusively by Football Insider, former England goalkeeper Paul Robinson has backed Jordan Henderson to make a sensational return to Sunderland.

Robinson said that the former Liverpool man would be a welcome addition to Regis Le Bris’ young dressing room, and that he would bring experience.

Football Insider first revealed in October that Henderson is open to returning to Sunderland, 14 years after he departed his boyhood club.

There is a feeling that the England international may leave Ajax this summer, after the Dutch side were pipped to the league title by PSV on the final day.
