Jude Bellingham sends message after Phil Foden and Bukayo Saka withdrawals

Jude Bellingham has taken to social media to send a message to England fans after eight players pulled out of their most recent squad.

The 21-year-old has been instrumental for both club and country over the past 18 months, helping Real Madrid secure a La Liga and Champions League double and leading England to the Euro 2024 final.

Bellingham was unsurprisingly called up to Lee Carsley’s last squad as interim boss before Thomas Tuchel takes over in January for their UEFA Nations League games against Greece and the Republic of Ireland.

As the hectic schedule starts to gather pace, however, eight players have decided to withdraw from the England squad and focus on their fitness.

Trent Alexander-Arnold, Cole Palmer, Declan Rice, Levi Colwill, Bukayo Saka, Phil Foden, Jack Grealish, and Aaron Ramsdale have all returned to their respective clubs.

Aston Villa forward Morgan Rogers has earned his first senior call-up, with Jarrad Branthwaite, Jarrod Bowen, James Trafford, and Tino Livramento also drafted into the squad.

Jude Bellingham ready for England duty

The central midfielder scored his first goal of the season in Real Madrid’s 4-0 La Liga win over Osasuna after an underwhelming start the the season.

Determined to make an impact with his country, Bellingham has taken to Instagram to post a stoic picture of himself ready for duty amid mass withdrawals.

England currently sit in second in their UEFA Nations League group after their shock 2-1 defeat to Greece, which Bellingham scored in.

Should they qualify for the next round, Tuchel would have the opportunity to win his first piece of silverware as an international manager in the new year.
