Jude Bellingham sends one-word Morgan Rogers message after England update

Real Madrid star Jude Bellingham has made his feelings clear over Aston Villa ace Morgan Rogers following the pair’s latest exploits for England.

Bellingham impressed as Thomas Tuchel began life as Three Lions manager with a 2-0 victory over Albania in World Cup qualifying at Wembley on Friday night.

That included an excellent assist for Arsenal ace Myles Lewis-Skelly to open the scoring on his England debut after just 20 minutes of the game.

Rogers was also involved in that game, with the 22-year-old later taking to social media to reflect on that latest outing.

While Bellingham started that game and played the full 90 minutes of that win, Rogers had a more reduced involvement in the game.

The attacker came off the bench with 16 minutes of normal time remaining to replace Liverpool midfielder Curtis Jones, with Harry Kane scoring the second to seal the win for England moments later.

In doing so Rogers won his third senior international cap for his country, something he was clearly pleased about.

Taking to his Instagram page after the game, the Aston Villa star wrote: “Another cap added. Great win to start off!”

In response to that, Bellingham was among those to pay tribute to his England teammate, with the Real Madrid star commenting on Rogers’ post by simply writing: “Brother”.

Morgan Rogers will want strong end to the season

Football Insider Verdict

This latest outing for England comes on the back of what looks like being a successful campaign for Rogers that could yet get better.

With others such as Phil Foden and Marcus Rashford failing to impress for the Three Lions against Albania, there may be scope for Tuchel to make changes against Latvia on Monday (24 March).

Rogers is one of the players who could be in line to take one of those roles in the side, which may provide him with a good chance to really stake a claim for a starting spot.

After that, his Aston Villa side are of course still in the quarter finals of both the FA Cup and Champions League this season.

As a result there is a chance that the 22-year-old could yet be in line for some more memorable outings, and perhaps even silverware, in the coming months.

With that in mind, Rogers has every reason to feel optimistic in the wake of his latest England outing here.
