Julian Alvarez and Mac Allister respond to Emi Martinez’s message as Aston Villa exit looms
Emi Martinez left a passionate message on social media despite ongoing speculation about his future at Aston Villa.
With Aston Villa narrowly missing out on a Champions League spot, financial pressures are mounting ahead of the summer window and sparking rumours of potential high-profile exits.
Former Manchester City financial adviser Stefan Borson told Football Insider that Aston Villa may be forced to sell key players to stay within Profit and Sustainability Rules (PSR), with Martinez identified as one of those who could be sacrificed.
Football Insider also revealed that Martinez had turned down a lucrative offer from Saudi Arabia, preferring to stay in Europe should he decide to leave Villa Park.
Despite the uncertainty, the goalkeeper made his priorities clear with a heartfelt message online, showing that his focus remains firmly elsewhere, for now.

Emi Martinez reacts as Argentina beat Chile in World Cup qualifiers
With club football currently on hold, attention has shifted to the international stage as World Cup qualifiers take centre stage.
Argentina continued their strong form in the group with a 1-0 victory over Chile, courtesy of a goal from Julian Alvarez.
Martinez responded to the result with a passionate message, saying: “This team keeps growing. Congratulations [Franco Mastantuono] on your crack debut.”

His post saw plenty of reactions with goalscorer Alvarez, Liverpool’s Alexis Mac Allister, and West Ham’s Dinos Mavropanos all liking the message.
As for Martinez, he continues to retain the number-one shirt for Argentina, even amid ongoing speculation about his future.
Football Insider recently revealed that Martinez has changed agents and is now a client of Jorge Mendes, in a move seen as a potential signal that he could be preparing for a summer transfer, despite currently being focused on international duty.
Aston Villa must balance their books before 30 June to remain within PSR, and the goalkeeper could command a significant fee if sold.
Morgan Rogers could follow Emi Martinez in Aston Villa summer exit

Villa’s financial situation means Martinez may not be the only key player heading for the exit.
Reports suggest Arsenal have now joined the race to sign Morgan Rogers, despite a long-standing interest from former club Man City and Chelsea.
Although Villa would prefer to keep the 22-year-old, their failure to qualify for the Champions League may force the club into tough decisions, potentially leading to the sale of a rising star they’d otherwise look to build around.
