Junior Firpo sends heartfelt message to Leeds United fans amid exit talk
Junior Firpo had a heartfelt message for his Leeds teammates and supporters, as celebrations continued despite uncertainty over his future at the club.
Leeds fans, players, and staff have been revelling in promotion joy this week, following their Championship title win.
The club secured the trophy with a dramatic 2-1 victory over Plymouth Argyle on 3 May, with Manor Solomon scoring the decisive goal in stoppage-time.
Firpo, whose contract is entering its final weeks, has played an important role in Leeds’ promotion push this season. However, questions remain about whether he will stay at Elland Road beyond the summer.
Former Leeds goalkeeper Paul Robinson told Football Insider that Firpo may be on the way out of Leeds, referencing his struggles during their’ previous Premier League campaign as “nowhere near Premier League level”.
Still, the full-back seemed in high spirits during the club’s title parade, sharing in the joy of the occasion with teammates and fans alike as the city marked their return to the top flight.

Junior Firpo could leave Leeds despite Daniel Farke’s backing
Firpo shared a message with fans during Leeds’ title parade, posting footage of the celebrations to his Instagram story along with the caption: “Love this team man”, showing a display of affection that may hint at his uncertain future with the club.

Firpo has been in outstanding form for Leeds this season, locking down the left flank and contributing four goals and ten assists.
Despite his resurgence under Farke, doubts remain due to his previous Premier League form, which has raised concerns about his suitability at the top level. That may be part of the reason why the club have yet to offer him a new contract.
With only a few weeks left on his current deal, it remains to be seen whether Leeds will opt to keep him at Elland Road as they return to the Premier League.
