Junior Firpo sends message to Leeds teammate Joe Rodon about his ‘girlfriend’
Leeds United defender Junior Firpo took to social media to send a hilarious message to teammate Joe Rodon after their 2-0 Championship win over Coventry.
Both Firpo, 28, and Rodon, 27, played the full 90 minutes as Daniel Farke’s side went five points clear at the top of the Championship table.
Joel Piroe opened the scoring for the visitors in the 17th minute thanks to a lovely ball from in-form winger Manor Solomon.
Jayden Bogle scored their second soon after, running through Coventry’s defence before capitalising on a miscommunication between the goalkeeper and a defender to secure all three points for the West Yorkshire club.
The right-back appears to have turned his Leeds career around, having had a tricky start to life at Elland Road, notably getting stick from fans after their 0-0 draw with Bristol City earlier in the season.

Firpo has struggled with injury this season, starting 18 of his 20 games across all competitions, scoring one goal and providing six assists in his 1546 minutes of action.
Rodon, on the other hand, has been everpresent for Leeds, starting 32 of his 33 games across all competitions and failing to provide a goal contribution in his 2901 minutes on the field.
The defender took to Instagram after the crucial win over Frank Lampard’s Coventry to send a message to Rodon, saying: “Not even your girlfriend look at you like I do.”
Fellow Yorkshire club Sheffield United have the chance to cut Leeds’ lead at the top of the Championship table to two points when they face Portsmouth on Saturday (February 8).
Farke’s attention will be away from the Championship that weekend as they prepare for a visit from rivals Millwall in the FA Cup.
