Jurgen Klopp’s odds slashed for Premier League manager job after new twist
Jurgen Klopp has yet to return to management since he left Liverpool in the summer of 2024.
The German is currently Head of Global Soccer for Red Bull GmbH, a position he has held since January. However, this has not stopped him from being linked to other managerial positions.
Recently, Klopp became the clear favourite to become Real Madrid’s next manager as Xabi Alonso continues to struggle in La Liga.
However, the bookies are yet to rule out a Premier League return for the former Liverpool manager, with Tottenham being the latest club linked.

Jurgen Klopp’s odds reduced to become next Tottenham manager
Thomas Frank’s reign at Tottenham has already proved to be controversial.
The former Brentford manager is on an awful run of form at Spurs, which has seen them fall to 13th in the table.
While Tottenham do not appear close to sacking Frank at present, if these results continue, he could find himself out of a job.
- Frank was appointed Tottenham manager in the summer
- The Dane took over from Ange Postecoglou, with Spurs aiming to climb back up the Premier League table
- However, after a bright start Spurs have fallen off
As a result, the bookies have been assessing who could take over, with Klopp one of the names touted.
Now, one bookmaker has put the odds of Klopp taking over at Spurs next to just 10/1.
Oddschecker on 22 December has confirmed that these odds have been reduced, with the German being the only manager on this list this has happened too.
However, Klopp remains far from the favourite for the job. Oliver Glasner remains the most likely to take over next at 5/1, with Marco Silva, Brendan Rodgers and Andoni Iraola all following next at 8/1.

Nevertheless, it remains to be seen if Klopp would be interested in the job, given his previous spell at Liverpool in the Premier League.
What has Thomas Frank said about his Tottenham future?
While Frank’s start has not been great, the Dane will be hoping to turn the tide at Spurs as soon as possible.
The North London club are still only a few wins away from the European spots in the Premier League, and have continued to perform in the Champions League.
Speaking to Reuters on 19 December before the defeat to Liverpool, the manager remained confident he could turn things around at Spurs.
“I’m very comfortable and confident. That I will, how can I say, fix it,” Frank said. “When this club comes out on top, there will be a lot of good people working together, aligned at the same time through the years.
“I just know one thing I’m pretty good at. I’m good at analysing things. I know what good looks like and I know where we should get.
“And one thing is I’m 1000% sure we haven’t seen any club be successful unless they had key people in the right decisions for a long time. I’ll back myself to be one of those key people to be in that position.”
