Leigh Griffiths kept up his excellent start to the season in Scotland’s 2-0 World Cup qualifying win over Malta at Hampden on Monday night – and fans took to Twitter to rave about the Celtic ace.
Griffiths set up Christophe Berra’s opener before scoring Scotland’s second as Gordon Strachan’s side closed to within one point of second-placed Slovakia.
The striker’s performance at the National Stadium was one of his best yet for the Scottish national team and rounded off a successful double header.
The 27-year-old now has three goals and three assists in his last three Scotland appearances and looks to have finally won over his doubters.
Griffiths went off injured with twenty minutes to go but has said he’ll be fit for Celtic’s trip to Hamilton of Friday and the visit of PSG in the Champions League next week.
