Justin Kluivert posts training update amid Bournemouth exit rumours
Justin Kluivert has taken to social media to show himself in training amid rumours of him potentially being set to depart Bournemouth this summer.
Bournemouth enjoyed a stellar 2024/25 campaign under Andoni Iraola, as they finished in ninth place and reached the FA Cup quarter-finals.
Kluivert played a key part in their success, but he has already seen some of his influential teammates depart this summer, with Dean Huijsen leaving the club to join Real Madrid, while Milos Kerkez has moved to Liverpool.
The Netherlands international has himself been linked with a move away, but nothing has been confirmed as yet the Cherries look to be in danger of losing numerous important players this summer, with Illia Zabarnyi also reportedly on PSG’s radar.

Kluivert posts training update amid desire to join Bayer Leverkusen
Former scout Mick Brown revealed to Football Insider in June that Kluivert is interested in joining Bundesliga giants Bayer Leverkusen this summer.
He has been left concerned by the amount of players leaving the Vitality Stadium, and the opportunity to play Champions League football with the German side is also a “huge” draw.
Regardless of any of his desires to move away, he looks to be taking on some extra pre-season work right now prior to potentially joining back up with his Cherries teammates, and he took to Instagram stories on Thursday (3 July) to post a picture of him and former Leverkusen and Man United defender Timothy Fosu-Mensah in training, with a robot-arm emoji as a caption in the comments.

Bournemouth face tricky season ahead if numerous key men leave
Football Insider verdict
Bournemouth supporters will be disheartened by the departures of a number of Iraola’s main men this summer, with Huijsen and Kerkez already gone and more seemingly looking set to depart soon.
Kluivert would undoubtedly also be a big loss, given his impact on the team and attacking exploits since he joined the south-coast side from Roma in 2023.
Appearances | Goals | Assists |

Zabarnyi is another Cherries talent who may depart soon amid interest from PSG, while Real Sociedad and Villarreal are interested in signing Marcos Senesi, along with a number of Italian clubs.
On top of all that, Iraola could find himself out of a job if things do not go Bournemouth’s way next season, according to Football Insider’s Mick Brown, which would be a shock considering their decent showing in the last campaign.
The Cherries have made just one signing so far this summer in Adrien Truffert, and so certainly need to act fast to either get players tied down to new contracts or sell them on for a healthy fee to then reinvest back into the squad, or they could struggle in the Premier League in 2025/26.
