Justin Kluivert sends come back message to Bournemouth star Evanilson

Bournemouth booked their place in the FA Cup quarter-finals by defeating Wolves on Saturday (1 March) in a game filled with drama and intensity.

The Cherries initially took the lead in the 30th minute via Evanilson, but Matheus Cunha equalized in the 60th minute for Wolves.

However, Cunha ended up being sent off in a moment of madness during extra time where he swung his arms and head toward Milos Kerkez.

Former FIFA official Keith Hackett exclusively revealed to Football Insider that Cunha needs to “attend a course to try to improve his behaviour.”

The red card drama didn’t help Wolves as they went on to lose against Bournemouth via a penalty shootout.

The Cherries will now return to Premier League action on Sunday (9 March) away at Tottenham Hotspur.

Bournemouth’s Justin Kluivert was pleased to see Evanilson on the scoresheet

Evanilson’s goal was his first since returning from a broken foot which had cost him seven games.

The striker had returned against Brighton on 25 February in the Premier League, but that was only a 13-minute cameo.

Bournemouth were furious with the semi-automated offside

The game was filled with controversy though as the Cherries thought they had doubled their lead in the first half of the game.

Unfortunately, a malfunction in the semi-automated offside system led to VAR looking at the incident for eight minutes before disallowing it.

Bournemouth did ride their luck during their penalty shootout after Dean Huijsen missed his effort, which he joked about with Kepa after the game.
