Arsenal’s injured forward Kai Havertz shared footage from the stands at the Emirates on social media following the club’s memorable victory over Real Madrid.

The German international was forced to support his team from the stands when Real Madrid visited north London on Tuesday night (8 April), after being ruled out for the remainder of the season having undergone hamstring surgery.

On a night where Declan Rice became the first player in Champions League knockout-stage history to score two direct free-kicks in a single match, also saw makeshift striker Mikel Merino produce another fine finish to settle the score at 3-0.

Havertz has missed the Gunners’ last nine fixtures in all competitions and will aim to return to the side prior to the start of next season, however clearly enjoyed his teammates performance with his latest post on social media.

In an Instagram story posted on Wednesday (9 April), the 25-year-old shared a video of the Emirates crowd with the caption: “What. A. Night.” alongside a red love heart emoji, after what will go down as one of the most memorable in recent history for the Gunners.
