Kalvin Phillips 'likely' to miss Spurs clash after what pundit has heard at Leeds
Kevin Phillips fears the visit of Tottenham this weekend will come too soon for Leeds United star man Kalvin Phillips given the nature of his injury.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former Sunderland and England striker claimed the club’s medical staff will “need to be careful” with the 25-year-old given that he has internal bleeding behind his knee.
Marcelo Bielsa revealed to Leeds Live after the defeat to Brighton that the centre-midfielder is sidelined with “a hematoma behind his knee”.
The Whites have worryingly lost seven of the nine games in which Phillips has been missing this season.
Phillips claimed Leeds are “not the same” when Phillips is sidelined.

“It will be tough for him to recover in time for Spurs because hematomas can be difficult and dodgy,” he told Football Insider‘s Dylan Childs.
“You need to be careful with them because it is internal bleeding so it’s likely he won’t be risked this weekend.
“Let’s hope he is back because they dearly miss him when he is not playing. Their record without him just shows you his importance to the side. That is the crux of it, when he doesn’t play they are not the same team.”
Leeds welcome Spurs to Elland Road on Saturday in their penultimate home game of the season.
Marcelo Bielsa’s side will be keen to avenge the 3-0 defeat they suffered in the reverse fixture earlier this year.
