Chelsea supporters have fired a collective dig at Fulham for awarding Josh King their goal of the month award for August.
The news comes even though King’s goal was disallowed when Chelsea beat Fulham 2-0 at Stamford Bridge on 30 August.
Marco Silva’s men thought they had taken the lead through King in the first half, but his effort was ruled out as Rodrigo Muniz was adjudged to have committed a foul in the build-up.
Subsequent goals from Joao Pedro and Enzo Fernandez saw Chelsea earn a victory over their West London rivals Fulham.
That result saw Enzo Maresca’s side sitting second in the Premier League table heading into the international break, having earned two wins and a draw from three top-flight fixtures.
Contrastingly, Fulham remain winless in the Premier League this term, having endured draws with both Brighton and Manchester United before being beaten at Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea can continue their winning run when they face another West London derby with Brentford on Saturday, 13 September.
Meanwhile, Fulham host Leeds United on 13 September, in an encounter which is set to witness Dan James come up against his former club.
The newly promoted Whites will be desperate to earn their second win of the Premier League campaign, after suffering a 5-0 defeat to Arsenal and enduring a 0-0 draw with Newcastle United, either side of an early Carabao Cup exit.
