‘Keep up’ – Erling Haaland drops ‘amazing’ Harry Kane and Kylian Mbappe reveals

Erling Haaland has been as prolific as ever in the Premier League this season and looks set to challenge Harry Kane and Kylian Mbappe for the European Golden Boot.

Haaland scored the only goal for Manchester City as they beat Brentford 1-0 at the Gtech Community Stadium.

Pep Guardiola’s side are now just three points behind table-topping Arsenal in the Premier League.

City are also unbeaten in their last seven games in all competitions, bouncing back from a difficult start to the season.

Haaland has started the campaign in superb form, scoring nine in his first seven top-flight games.

The 25-year-old is already three goals clear of second-place Antoine Semenyo in the race for the Premier League Golden Boot, which he is aiming to win for the third time in four seasons.

Following Man City’s win at the Gtech Community Stadium, Haaland was asked about his battle with Kane for the European Golden Boot in a post-match interview with BBC Sport, and the Norwegian international was quick to remind everyone that Mbappe was in the race as well.

He said: “Don’t forget Kylian (Mbappe) as well, he has had a great start as well. They (Kane and Mbappe) are doing amazing, so I need to try to keep up!”
