Keith Wyness: Aston Villa could agree £100m Morgan Rogers deal, four clubs want to sign him
Aston Villa star Morgan Rogers will be worth £100million if he impresses for England at the World Cup this summer.
That is according to former Villa, Everton and Aberdeen chief executive Keith Wyness, who exclusively told Football Insider up to four clubs have a “strong interest” in signing Rogers.
The 23-year-old had a slow start to the season, but he’s been integral for Unai Emery’s side over the past few months.
Rogers has registered 10 goals and seven assists in 36 appearances, helping Villa up to third in the Premier League table and progress through to the last 16 of the Europa League.
That form has also seen the attacking midfielder become a first-team regular for England under Thomas Tuchel.

Why Morgan Rogers is worth £100m to Aston Villa
Rogers registered his first England goal in the 3-0 victory over Wales at Wembley Stadium in October.
The Villa star is expected to be named in Tuchel’s squad for the World Cup, but there is plenty of competition for places in his position.
Speaking on the new edition of Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast, Wyness revealed there will be increased interest in Rogers if he performs well at the tournament.
“Well, if he does make the squad, which we believe he will do for the World Cup and he has a good World Cup, then he’s a £100m player straight away,” said Wyness.
“There will be a lot of interest in Morgan Rogers. He’s got the right attitude, the skills, he’s the right age, everything works.

“If he has that sort of World Cup notoriety with it as well, it’s £100m all day long.”
Why Aston Villa have already received interest for Rogers
Wyness revealed there is already interest in Rogers as Villa look to keep hold of him this summer.
“I know three or four clubs already have strong interest and he would fit exactly what they’re looking for,” said Wyness.
“He will be a player that’s much talked about, and I hope the pressure doesn’t get to him for the World Cup for England’s sake, but we’ll see what happens.”

Rogers signed a new contract with Villa until 2031 earlier this season, improving their negotiating position should any offers be made for his services.
The attacker joined Emery’s side from Middlesbrough in February 2024, with the deal worth up to £15m.
