Keith Wyness: Everton well placed to smash club record amid ‘£250m’ reveal
Everton need to be generating revenue of up to £250million if they want to continue competing in the top half of the Premier League table.
That is according to ex-Everton, Aston Villa, and Aberdeen chief executive Keith Wyness, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, who is urging the club to maximise all sources of revenue.
Everton’s 2024-25 financial accounts showed that the club made record turnover, reduced its losses and grew commercial revenue.
This season, Everton have moved into Hill Dickinson Stadium from Goodison Park, meaning revenue is predicted to continue to grow even further.
Everton have stabilised their financial position under the Friedkin Group, and could be hosting European football for the first time since the 2017-18 campaign next season.

Everton’s former chief Keith Wyness – who served as CEO at Goodison Park between 2004 and 2009 and now runs a football consultancy advising elite clubs – believes the club could receive a £60m boost from moving into Hill Dickinson Stadium.
Speaking on the new edition of Football Insider‘s Inside Track podcast, Wyness thinks the Toffees have a “big opportunity” to grow the club.
| Turnover | £196.7m |
| Overall Loss | £8.6m |
| Profit From Player Trading | £31.3m |
| Commercial Revenue | £24.3m |
He told Football Insider‘s Inside Track podcast: “We’re looking at increasing revenue from the £190m mark, and we’ve got to be up near £250m.
“We’ve got to be at that sort of level, which is where a lot of the competitors are right now, and that’s where we’ve got to be. You’re looking at another £60m uplift from the stadium, which is possible and certainly should be attainable.
“On the bigger picture, the balance sheet has been repaired. So now we’re really about looking forward and executing on this big opportunity that we’ve got to really maximise the international revenue streams and really grow.
“It’s all hands to the deck. All we’ve got right now is an opportunity, but you’ve got to put the ball in the goal, and now it’s up to that executive team under Angus [Kinnear] to really slam it home and make sure we maximise wherever possible.”
Everton on course to agree £10m deal
Former Manchester City financial advisor Stefan Borson told Football Insider that Everton could agree a £10m a year shirt sponsor deal for next season.
The club’s success on the pitch this season, and potential European qualification, has helped in talks with potential partners.
Everton have been in talks with CMC Markets over becoming their next shirt sponsor, as their current deal with Stake will come to an end in the summer.
