Keith Wyness reveals Everton to sign Jack Grealish at ‘reduced rate’ after ‘sensible resolution’

Manchester City will have no desire to loan Jack Grealish back out to Everton in the summer transfer window.

That is according to ex-Everton, Aston Villa, and Aberdeen chief executive Keith Wyness, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, who believes a “deal will be done” for Grealish to move to Everton.

Grealish’s loan spell at Everton this season has been brought to an early end due to a stress fracture in his foot which required surgery.

The 30-year-old has no future at Man City under Pep Guardiola, and Everton want to keep him on Merseyside on a permanent basis.

Jack Grealish ‘expected to be an Everton player in the summer’

Everton’s former chief Keith Wyness – who served as CEO at Goodison Park between 2004 and 2009 and now runs a football consultancy advising elite clubs – thinks Grealish will move to the club for a “reduced rate.”

Speaking on the new edition of Football Insider‘s Inside Track podcast, Wyness can only see an outcome where Grealish becomes an Everton player.

He told Football Insider‘s Inside Track podcast: “I don’t think that he’ll be loaned, I think he’ll probably be bought. I think the deal will be done during the summer.

“I still think it’ll be at a reduced rate compared to what was pushed before, I think with Jack’s injury, etc. There’ll be a much lower fee, I think there’ll be a cut in wages, and I think that Everton have borne the cost of him this season.

“So all parties here, both City, Jack and Everton have felt the pain to a degree. And I think there’ll be a sensible resolution, but I expect him to be a full Everton player in the summer rather than being on loan again.”

Everton could pull plug on Harry Wilson signing

Whilst Everton want to sign Grealish, Moyes may not renew his interest in Fulham midfielder Harry Wilson in the summer.

Fulham rejected a bid by Everton for Wilson in the January transfer window, with the midfielder set to become a free agent at the end of the current campaign.

However, with more time to identify targets and sign players, Everton may look elsewhere to add to their midfield ahead of next season.
