Kent is becoming Rangers ‘liability’ after Brown ‘goading’ – pundit
Frank McAvennie claims Ryan Kent needs to show more maturity after he was sent off during Rangers’ draw with Aberdeen.
The former Celtic hitman, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, claims the winger show have seen Scott Brown’s antics coming.
Kent, 25, received two yellow cards during Tuesday’s (18 January) 1-1 draw with Aberdeen.
The second came after a late challenge on former Celtic captain Brown, who has plenty of history with the Gers winger.
Brown took great pleasure in Kent’s dismissal and waved him off the pitch.
McAvennie insists Kent needs to learn to avoid such “obvious” attempts to wind him up.
“It was obvious Brown was trying to rattle Kent,” McAvennie told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.
“This ridiculous stuff has been going on for years between the two of them, he should have known better.
“It was a bit soft, both decisions. But at the same time, you can’t be goaded like that.
“Broony is the best in the business at doing that, he’s done it for years.
“Kent knows that as well, so it will have been really disappointing for the manager to see him suspended.
“I can understand the frustration at the scoreline and the fact Kent wasn’t having much success.
“That’s when you need to keep your head though, you can’t be a liability in a team like Rangers.”

Kent has made 21 total appearances for Rangers this season.
He has scored two goals and provided seven assists for his teammates.
