Kevin De Bruyne 'shattered' - Agbonlahor points the finger as controversial Man City footage emerges
Kevin De Bruyne looks “shattered” playing for Man City, according to Gabby Agbonlahor.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the ex-Aston Villa and England attacker delivered his verdict after De Bruyne won a controversial penalty during Man City’s 2-1 win over Fulham last weekend (5 November).
As shown on the BBC’s Match of the Day programme, the 31-year-old went to ground after an Antonee Robinson kick in stoppage time.
The scores were level and Erling Haaland scored from the spot to secure a vital three points for Pep Guardiola’s side.
“It’s a penalty but Antonee Robinson should know better, it’s very immature of him and something you’d expect of an 18-year-old,” Agbonlahor told Football Insider correspondent Connor Whitley.
“It’s the last minute of the game and you know now that any touch of a player in the box is a penalty. You could flick someone with your finger and it could be a penalty.

“You know the rules have changed so you don’t do it.
“Kevin De Bruyne looked shattered in the last 20 minutes of that game and when that touch came he was going down no matter what.
“He was thinking ‘Please someone touch me’. He knew if the referee didn’t give it then VAR might give it. It was very clever play from Kevin De Bruyne but embarrassing, really.
“That touch would not have brought down a two-year-old but Kevin De Bruyne fell because he’s clever.
“Some might say it’s cheating but it’s not, it’s clever play. If someone is stupid enough to put their foot out then you’ll get your reward. You will see a lot more penalties like that.”
