24-year-old must be axed: Three things we learned from Celtic draw v Motherwell

Sinclair the man for the big occasion

Scott Sinclair was a substitute last night, and didn’t get on the park until the 73rd minute, unsurprisingly his every touch was booed by Motherwell fans as they hadn’t forgotten his ‘dive’ in the Betfred Cup Final. The Celtic winger – who has been in poor form recently – showed that he can handle all the criticism and pressure by scoring the late penalty which keeps Celtic unbeaten run going. He didn’t hesitate and he wanted to take the spot kick – which says a lot about the player.

In other Celtic news, Brendan Rodgers was correct to drop Scott Sinclair from the starting line-up from last night’s game
