Kieran Maguire cites Royal Family as new Arsenal deal agreed – ‘magnificent’

The deal between Arsenal and ZC Rubber is the latest example of the club’s commercial growth.

That is the view of finance expert Kieran Maguire, who exclusively told Football Insider that Arsenal are taking advantage of the Premier League’s popularity to boost their commercial revenue.

The North London club announced last Thursday (30 November) that they have struck a partnership agreement with Chinese company ZC Rubber.

The new partnership means that Arsenal now have 25 global partners on their commercial portfolio.

Arsenal’s latest financial accounts revealed that the club earned £141.7 million in commercial revenue throughout the 2021/22 season, however the club’s improved off-pitch deals means that figure is expected to rise significantly in future accounts.

Maguire believes the Premier League has become the most attractive sporting league when it comes to commercial partners.

Arsenal’s deal with the Chinese tyre company is further indication that the Premier League along with the BBC and the Royal Family is one of the top three brands that can be offered from the UK,” Maguire told Football Insider’s Sean Fisher.

It shows the popularity of the Premier League as a product which is unparalleled in the sporting world.

“Arsenal are in a good position to benefit from that – they’ve got history, heritage, success on the field and a magnificent stadium in London.

It ticks a lot of boxes for commercial partners and this deal is a further representation of their strength.
