Kieran Maguire makes 'big' Rangers claim after Edmiston House update

Kieran Maguire has heaped praise on Rangers after an update from general manager Dave Pyatt on Edmiston House.

Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the football finance expert said the development is “all about making incremental gains” and will be “a big help”.

Edmiston House will see the creation of a club museum, a two-storey club store and an events space next to Ibrox.

Speaking to RangersTV, Pyatt revealed that the project will make matchdays “more exciting” for fans as well as more appealing to families.

It is expected to be completed and ready to open by the summer of next year.

When asked by Football Insider‘s Dylan Childs for his thoughts on the project, Maguire said: “It will be a big help on matchdays, that’s for sure.

“Rangers have a very broad fan base in Scotland. Perhaps people going to Glasgow for the weekend might go on the Friday for the museum tour.

“It is all about making incremental gains. You can see potential benefits there. It will be a marginal gain, rather than a huge one in all honesty.”

Speaking to RangersTV, Pyatt said: “We are going to offer more on matchdays, just a little bit extra to make the day more exciting.

“We hope to make it more fun for families, there will be a bigger and brighter store and the museum looks to be incredible and will really celebrate the club’s rich history.”
