Kieran Maguire makes ‘huge’ Man United prediction with Ratcliffe deal days away

There will be ‘huge changes’ to staff and personnel at Man United once Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s investment deal is confirmed.

That is the view of finance expert Kieran Maguire, who spoke exclusively to Football Insider about what to expect when Ratcliffe takes sporting control at Old Trafford.

The British billionaire struck an agreement with the Glazer family to buy a 25 percent stake in the Red Devils worth £1.25billion.

As revealed by Football Insider, Ratcliffe’s investment deal is days away from being confirmed with an announcment expected at the start of next week.

Once the deal is completed, Ratcliffe and his INEOS team are expected to take sporting control of United despite only owning a minority stake in the club.

Maguire believes the first changes to be made by Ratcliffe and his team are personnel changes behind the scenes.

I think we will see huge changes of personnel at senior levels,” Maguire told Football Insider’s Sean Fisher.

Jim Ratcliffe has not struck this deal just because he wants to have a seat in the Stretford End.

He’s looking for a return on his investment, and that return initially will have to be on the pitch.

If you get good returns on the pitch, then the returns off the pitch tend to follow.

So expect to see some new people coming in and some people strategically leaving the club.

We’ve already seen that in the case of Richard Arnold and we’ll see more people who are in alignment with Jim Ratcliffe’s philosophy being in a position to deliver decisions.
