Kieran Maguire reveals ‘internal disputes’ at Rangers as boardroom exit confirmed
Rangers are in need of new faces at boardroom level as there are still ‘internal disputes’ between executives at the club.
That is the view of finance expert Kieran Maguire, who spoke exclusively to Football Insider about the huge changes to the Rangers hierarchy in recent months.
Rangers have lost a handful of key staff members already this season, with director of football Ross Wilson leaving for Nottingham Forest, Douglas Park stepping down as chairman and Stewart Robertson set to leave his role as CEO at the end of the current campaign.
Football Insider also revealed on Wednesday (24 May) that finance director Andrew Dickson has departed the club after official documents were filed.
Rangers are now left with a number of key positions to fill over the summer as they attempt to mount another challenge against arch-rivals Celtic.
“I think Rangers have had to move on a number of executives who have put in a lot of time at the club,” Maguire told Football Insider’s Sean Fisher.
“It’s been a tough period moving the club following its troubles a decade ago and they are effectively going through a recovery phase.
“There are still internal disputes between some former executives and the club so perhaps having a new set of faces around the boardroom will allow the club to group together and start to challenge Celtic.

“They are currently behind both on the pitch and off the pitch and having some new faces might galvanise them.
“However, Celtic are a very smoothly run organisation with Postecoglou at the helm.“
