Kieran Maguire salutes ‘incredible’ Rangers after two developments fans will ‘love’

Rangers are one of the best when it comes to monetising at every available opportunity.

So says finance expert Kieran Maguire, speaking exclusively to Football Insider about the Scottish champions’ latest commercial venture.

The club announced on 7 September the release of ‘Relentle55 – The Inside Story’, a one-off documentary that details last season’s title triumph.

The following day, the club also revealed that a film based on their 1972 European Cup Winners’ Cup triumph is in the works.

Relentle55 is available for purchase on RangersTV and the 1972 documentary is also expected to be uploaded to the digital platform.

Maguire hailed the Ibrox club for their no-stone-left-unturned approach to commercial profit.

He told Football Insider correspondent Adam Williams: “It’s a clever way of monetising at every turn.

“It’s these marginal profits that all add up. We’ve seen that Rangers are on the money when it comes to things of this nature.

“Nobody is forced to buy it, but I’m sure Rangers fans would love to own a copy because it was a season that gave them so much joy.

“They didn’t just win the league, they absolutely walked it. They were incredible to watch, too.

“No matter what the club is, you always want a memento of something that is so fantastic for your club.

Rangers swaggered to the league title in 2020-21.

They finished the 38-game season with 102 points and did not lose a single match.
