Kieran Maguire shares view on ‘£100m’ Marcus Rashford Man United exit – ‘would solve all issues’
Man United could ‘solve all issues’ with Financial Fair Play by selling Marcus Rashford in the summer transfer window.
That is the view of finance expert Kieran Maguire, who exclusively told Football Insider that Rashford’s sale would allow United to be ‘very competitive’ in the transfer market.
As revealed by Football Insider, Arsenal are keeping a close eye on Rashford ahead of a potential move in the summer.
The 26-year-old has also been linked with a move to Paris Saint-Germain following his poor form for the Red Devils this season.
He has scored just five times in 27 appearances this season and made the headlines last week for missing training following an unsanctioned night out in Belfast.
Maguire states that United would receive £100million in ‘pure profit’ if Rashford was sold as well as removing £15million from their wage bill.
“If Marcus Rashford was sold, then it would solve all issues that Manchester United face in respect of Financial Fair Play,” Maguire told Football Insider’s Sean Fisher.
“First of all, realistically, they’ll be looking for around about £100million plus in terms of a transfer fee.
“That would represent pure profit on their accounts as he’s an academy player.

“Secondly, he is costing the club around £15million a year in wages, so removing that would be beneficial to their wage bill.
“You put those two together, and it would mean they could become very competitive in the transfer market.“
