Kieran Maguire shares West Ham takeover verdict after ‘exclusive’ agreement secured

West Ham are ‘one of the most attractive’ takeover propositions for 777 Partners after their failed Everton investment.

That is the view of finance expert Kieran Maguire, who spoke exclusively to Football Insider about the potential for investment in the Hammers this summer.

As reported by the Daily Mail, US investment fund 777 Partners remain keen to invest in a Premier League club after Everton snubbed them and signed an exclusivity deal with MSP Sports Capital.

West Ham and Sheffield United are mentioned as clubs on the radar of 777 Partners, with a minority investment most likely but a majority takeover not ruled out.

Maguire believes the London club is the most attractive Premier League club to investors outside of the established ‘Big Six’.

West Ham have so many positives from an investment point of view,” Maguire told Football Insider’s Sean Fisher.

They’re based in London, pay a ridiculously low fee for rent which is effectively subsidised by taxpayers, they have now had European success and are an established Premier League side.

Put all of those factors together and it makes them a very attractive proposal for an investment group.

Their stadium is able to welcome over 60,000 fans on a regular basis and there is the potential to reach an agreement with the stadium owners to monetise the venue further.

Therefore, I would say that they are one of the most attractive propositions for investment outside of the ‘Big Six’.
