Kieran Maguire tips Newcastle United to strike major deal after source’s Arsenal reveal

It ‘makes sense’ for Newcastle United to partner with Visit Botswana after they entered an agreement with the Saudi Arabian Football Association.

That is the opinion of finance expert Kieran Maguire, who spoke exclusively to Football Insider about links between Newcastle United and the Botswana tourism board.

Football Insider sources revealed on Monday (15 May) that a sponsorship deal between the Botswana tourist board and Newcastle United looks increasingly likely.

Botswana recently strengthened their relationship with Saudi Arabia, with both nations’ football associations entering an agreement to accelerate sporting development in the two countries.

PIF-owned Newcastle are now heavily linked with a sponsorship deal with the Botswana tourism board, with the two parties previously holding talks over a shirt sleeve sponsorship.

The Tyneside club recently signed a deal with Noon.com as sleeve sponsors, but it is understood that discussions are now ongoing regarding another major commercial arrangement.

I think we have to look at things on a broad scale,” Maguire told Football Insider.

“The Saudi football authorities have teamed up with Botswana, and that will be beneficial to their bid to host the 2030 World Cup.

There is a lot of logic from a strategic perspective for Saudi and therefore it makes sense for Newcastle to strike such a deal.
