Kieran Tierney could be quitting Arsenal after what pundit has spotted

Alan Hutton has suggested Kieran Tierney might have to quit Arsenal.

Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former Tottenham and Aston Villa defender insisted Tierney is good enough to play in the Premier League but may have to leave his current club to do so.

The 25-year-old was an unused substitute in the Gunners’ 3-2 victory over Man United on Sunday (22 January).

The left-back has started just four Premier League games for Mikel Arteta’s side, with summer signing Oleksandr Zinchenko the current first choice on the left side.

As quoted by footballscotland (24 January), former Arsenal man Ian Wright said Zinchenko’s arrival at the Emirates has not worked out “great” for Tierney.

Hutton insisted Tierney will continue to struggle for game time at Arsenal.

From what I know, it is going to be difficult now for Tierney to break in which is a shame because I still think he is a fantastic football player,” he told Football Insider.

The problem with him is the injury side of it and that has given an opportunity for another player to come in, Zinchenko being him, with a lot of experience.

So it is going to be hard but I still want to see him play week-in week-out.

Whether that is at Arsenal or somewhere else he is definitely good enough to continue in the Premier League and for Scotland as well so hopefully he can get back to it.
