Kieran Trippier and Jordan Henderson respond to Harry Kane’s passionate message

Kieran Trippier and Jordan Henderson joined former and current players in reacting to Harry Kane’s message on social media.

Bayern Munich maintained their strong start to the Club World Cup with a 2-1 win over Boca Juniors, booking their spot in the round of 16 with a game to spare.

Kane continued his fine form for Bayern by opening the scoring after just 18 minutes, before Boca pulled one back through Miguel Merentiel in the second half.

But it was Michael Olise, formerly of Crystal Palace, who sealed the victory late on with a composed finish six minutes from time.

Bayern now face Benfica on 24 June in their final group-stage match, but their progression is already confirmed.

After the match, England captain Kane shared a passionate message with supporters, reflecting on the team’s performance and progress and quickly drew attention.

The post received plenty of attention from current and former teammates, with Trippier and Henderson joining ex-Chelsea captain John Terry and Serge Gnabry in liking the update.

The season has been one to remember for the Englishman as Kane played a pivotal role in helping Bayern reclaim the Bundesliga title — finally securing major silverware after years of coming close.

Liverpool lead race to sign Harry Kane as striker search continues

Despite his success in Germany, and with the Club World Cup still ongoing, Kane’s future in Munich remains uncertain.

Former Manchester United chief scout Mick Brown told Football Insider that Liverpool are currently leading the race to sign Kane, who is reportedly open to a Premier League return.

He has already scored 213 Premier League goals and needs just 48 more to surpass Alan Shearer’s all-time record of 260 — a milestone that could tempt him back to England.

With Darwin Nunez expected to leave Liverpool amid growing interest from Napoli and clubs in Saudi Arabia, a move for Kane could be in the works once a sale is completed, setting up one of the biggest transfers of the summer.
