Kieran Trippier could quit Newcastle after Everton swoop – sources
Kieran Trippier’s Newcastle United future will be re-evaluated in the January transfer window, sources have told Football Insider.
Football Insider revealed on Monday (2 September) that Newcastle and manager Eddie Howe are determined to keep Trippier at the club this month.
The English and Saudi Arabian windows are closed but it has been reported that the right-back is attracting interest in Turkey.
It is believed that Howe is not keen to lose Trippier, 33, as there is no opportunity for Newcastle to draft in a replacement.
However, sources say Newcastle will be more receptive to offers for the defender in January.
Football Insider revealed on 26 August that Everton held talks over signing Trippier on loan, but failed to find an agreement.

Tino Livramento has stepped into the Newcastle lineup and is now seemingly the first-choice right-back at St James’ Park.
Trippier has made one substitute appearance in the Premier League this term and captained the side from the start in the League Cup win over Nottingham Forest.

The 54-cap star has recently retired from international duty after reaching the final of the European Championships with England over the summer.
He is under contract with the Magpies until June 2026.
