Kobbie Mainoo shares four-word message after Man United injury hell

Man United midfielder Kobbie Mainoo made his return in their 4-0 Premier League win over Everton on Sunday (December 1) after two months out injured.

The win over Sean Dyche’s struggling Everton side marked the 19-year-old’s first appearance since Man United’s 0-0 draw with Aston Villa earlier in the season, having suffered a muscle injury in the late stages of the game.

Having missed their last nine games across all competitions, Mainoo has only managed 734 minutes of action in 10 games across all competitions.

Braces from Marcus Rashford and Josua Zirkzee secured all three points for Ruben Amorim’s side as they moved into the top half with 19 points from their opening 13 games.

Kobbie Mainoo makes long-awaited Man United return

With the hectic festive period well underway, Amorim will need his players at full fitness as they travel to Arsenal just three days after the win over Everton on Wednesday (December 4).

Following an injury crisis under Erik ten Hag, United now have only three players sidelined, with Leny Yoro, Jonny Evans, and Victor Lindelof all expected to return later this month.

Unbeaten under Amorim in his first three games at the helm, Man United are now just four points off the Champions League spots and rivals Man City in fifth.

With eight games left in December alone, including a game against City on the 15th, the next month will be pivotal if United want to salvage their season.
