Kobbie Mainoo shares Man United training ground reveal in new injury twist
Man United youngster Kobbie Mainoo has hinted that he could be set to return to action soon with his latest social media post sharing footage from the club’s training ground.
The 19-year-old has been sidelined with a muscle injury since Man United’s 0-0 Premier League draw with Aston Villa on matchday six.
A lot has happened at Old Trafford since then; Erik ten Hag has been replaced by highly-regarded young manager Ruben Amorim, 39, and the feeling around the club has shifted.
Amorim took charge of his first training session as Man United manager on Monday (November 18) as they prepare for their Premier League clash with Ipswich Town on Sunday (November 24).
Kobbie Mainoo working hard for Man United return
Giving Mainoo his debut was arguably one of Ten Hag’s most successful Man United decisions, with the youngster since establishing himself as one of the best young midfielders in world football.
A breakout 2023-24 campaign earned him a call-up to Gareth Southgate’s EURO 2024 squad, meaning the youngster has played 54 games across all competitions for club and country since January 2023.
Relying on someone so young can be dangerous and some sort of setback was inevitable but if his most recent Instagram post is anything to go by, he may be back sooner rather than later.

In his absence, both Casemiro and Manuel Ugarte have stepped up their games, helping interim boss Rud van Nistelrooy to a four-game unbeaten run before he was ultimately dismissed.
A fit and firing Mainoo could prove pivotal for Amorim as the 20-time champions aim to get something from their dismal campaign so far.
