Kostas Tsimikas reacts to Jeremie Frimpong’s message amid Liverpool uncertainty
Liverpool defender Kostas Tsimikas has become Arne Slot’s third-choice left-back thanks to the Reds’ ambitious summer transfer activity.
The Greece international served as Andy Robertson’s understudy last term, making just nine Premier League starts as Slot’s men claimed top-flight glory.
Tsimikas has even less chance of enjoying more game time next season, courtesy of the addition of former Bournemouth star Milos Kerkez.
Kerkez proved himself as one of the best left-backs in the Premier League last campaign, notching two goals and five assists in 38 top-flight outings for the Cherries.

Tsimikas reacts to Frimpong’s message amid Liverpool future uncertainty
Former Manchester United and Blackburn Rovers chief scout Mick Brown exclusively told Football Insider that Nottingham Forest were plotting to sign Tsimikas.
The 29-year-old previously played for Olympiacos, who are overseen by Forest owner Evangelos Marinakis.
Meanwhile, Tsimikas’ Liverpool teammate Jeremie Frimpong wrote on Instagram on Monday, 28 July: “Special days in Hong Kong. Thank you!” following the Reds’ pre-season outings.
Frimpong’s message attracted a like from the Greece international, whose Anfield future remains uncertain.
Slot should cash in on Tsimikas

While Forest are yet to act on their interest in the left-back, Tsimikas was also eyed by Leeds United earlier in the transfer window.

However, the West Yorkshire side are unlikely to swoop for the Liverpool man, now that they have acquired Gabriel Gudmundsson from Lille.
Gudmundsson earned plenty of French top-flight experience throughout his time with Lille, and could have what it takes to help Leeds stay in the Premier League.
Meanwhile, Slot does not need three senior left-backs in his squad, so the Dutchman should look to move on Tsimikas this summer, and retain Robertson.
Kerkez is set to start in the Premier League for the reigning top-flight champions, but Robertson’s experience will be vital for the Anfield giants as they strive to win more silverware.
After signing the likes of Kerkez and Florian Wirtz, Liverpool can sign Alexander Isak from Newcastle United to further bolster their title credentials.
