The 19-year-0ld midfielder made his Celtic bow in a SFA Youth Cup clash against Hibernian on Friday afternoon, helping his side to a narrow 1-0 victory.

Through a combination of illness and a work permit application, the Ivorian had been made to wait six weeks to make his debut for the club.
However, he is yet to represent Brendan Rodgers’ first-team squad following his £2.8million move from FC Krasnodar last month, but could do so by the end of the month.

He now appears to be free from his malaria scare, and made a speedy return to fitness ahead of the SFA Youth Cup clash.
Kouassi played 60 minutes for Tommy McIntyre’s side on Friday, showing off an impressive array of skills before he was substituted.
Celtic fans will no doubt have been delighted to finally get to see Kouassi in action, albeit for the youth side, and they will now be relishing the prospect of seeing him make a splash in the first-team setup in the coming weeks.
The midfielder made 18 appearances for Krasnodar before his January move, contributing one goal and two assists.
