Kroenke has 'big plans for Arsenal' as massive revamp touted - Campbell

Stan Kroenke has to choose between selling Arsenal or revamping the entire club this summer.

That’s according to former Gunners hitman Kevin Campbell, speaking exclusively to Football Insider about Kroenke’s plans.

Kroenke is under pressure to sell Arsenal as fans continue to protest his ownership.

The Gunners crashed out of the Europa League two weeks ago and face a new season without European football.

Swedish billionaire Daniel Ek has detailed his intention to buy Arsenal and has the backing of club icons Thierry Henry, Dennis Bergkamp and Patrick Vieira.

However, a statement signed by Stan Kroenke and his son Josh, released last month said, “We have not received any offer and we will not entertain any offer [for Arsenal].” [BBC]

“I don’t think Kroenke will sell, to be brutally honest,” Campbell told Football Insider correspondent Dylan Childs. “I just think Kroenke big plans for the club.

“Whether that ties in with what the fans think, what I think, Kroenke has put the money up.

“He owns it. But it doesn’t make sense for him to have a club that is just declining and declining.

“There has to be a stop somewhere where they start to revamp or sell and we’re at that point now.”

The Gunners sit ninth in the Premier League table ahead of Wednesday night’s trip to Chelsea.
